Småtorp is the name of my newest layout, which is being built to replace
Steninge.

The intention is to eventually construct an 8 metre long layout that is capable
of operating as one of two smaller
layouts as needed.
The line is a fictional branchline of the Halmstad Nässjö Railway (HNJ) and is
set in 1937. The area that the line traverses
was in reality served by the 3'6" gauge Halmstad Bolmen Railway (HBJ). The
terminus station's track plan will be based on
that of Hyltebruk, all place names apart from the junction to also be fictional.
A Fictional History.
The Småtorp - Oskastrom branch of the HNJ was built in the late 19th Century
to reach the timber mill at Småtorp.
A single intermediate station was built at Peterstorp and a loading dock and
halt at Lillan. The major source of traffic is still
the sawmill and furniture factory at Småtorp. Further traffic comes from Peterstorp
during the sugar beet season and Lillan
has a regular trade in wagons of timber.
Passenger traffic is provided by an old coach on mixed goods trains and a
regular railbus service to Halmstad.
The layout can also be run as a preserved line in which case anything goes!
